A discussion tonight. The town hall is full. Tourism: for it, or against? The air is electric, the question is real.

今夜は討論会。公会堂は満員。観光に、賛成か、反対か？空気は帯電し、問いは本物だ。

受け身の応用

「therefore＝それゆえ／したがって」「due to＝〜が原因で・〜のために（後ろに名詞句が続く）」。論理をつなぐ討論の接続語。意見に骨格を与える。

agree（賛成する）

agree on 〜（〜の点で一致する）。討論の終着点は、勝ち負けでなく一致点の発見。

possible / impossible
