VERSE 1

We asked one hundred people on the street. "More than half said 'thank you' — fifty-two percent." According to the data, love was hard to beat. Our strategy: a graph and one hundred comments we went and lent.

通りで100人に聞いてみた。「半分を超える人が『ありがとう』と答えた――52パーセント」。データによれば、「愛」も負けていなかった。ぼくらの作戦は、グラフと、貸してもらった100のコメント。（※意訳。英語の lent は「貸した」の意味で、この対訳は場面を通した意訳です）

ミナは落ち着いた話しぶりで中身を伝えた。スライドは独特――図表じゃなく、一通の手紙。「で、結論は？」クラスはほとんど夢見心地で聞いた。「結論として――いちばんの言葉は、心から来ます」。
